Contest Winners

Tekla BIMsight team organized a contest for all users to celebrate the 4th anniversary of the easiest to use BIM collaboration tool. We got lots of entries to the contest and are now presenting the three winners. The full stories about the winning projects will be published during 2015.

4th Anniversary Contest winners

Skanska: Slammertorp concrete bridge, Stockholm, Sweden

Skanska Sweden constructed this massive concrete bridge with an approximate span of 50x50 meters which includes 5200 cubic meters of concrete and 700 tons of rebar. 

Tekla BIMsight was used to plan work, safety and purchases using the models. Also the site crew uses Tekla BIMsight on tablets to create a better understanding of the work at hand.

VINCI Construction France: Ilot Fontenoy Ségur - Renovation of government buildings, Paris, France

This project was a major renovation of two government buildings. The work done by VINCI Construction France included improvements of safety standards (accessibility of disabled users, fire safety system, BBC energy label) and the construction of a staff cafeteria, an auditorium, a gym and a kindergarten. 

Tekla BIMsight was the design coordination tool they chose. They also kept their models up to date by sharing their models though Tekla BIMsight.

Kimly Construction: AmberSkye condominium, Singapore

The AmberSkye condominium is a residential building that has a very unique architecture, curved trellis façade, which creates some challenges for construction. That is why Kimly Construction Pte Ltd used BIM and Tekla BIMsight as the visualization and coordination tool which was crucial in this project.

Steel Concepts: Blendtec blender entrance, Utah, USA

Steel Concepts was the engineer, drafter, detailer, fabricator and erector of the scaled up 40 feet tall Blendtec blender for their manufacturing facility in Orem, Utah.
