The rule of search - sort tool?

What is the rule of search and sort tool in BIMsight? Someone please explain more detail about this. e.g. After we search then somethings appear, we sort the results, but after that we can not sort again! Maybe I need more and more time for learning this but please help me to control this search tool asap. Thanks in advanced.

Hi Trung, The search field is used grouping. If you enter just any text it will create two groups, matching and non-matching. You can also create groups by different properties. The sorting affect sorting of the objects inside the groups. Note that there is a triangle in the sort field that you can use to reverse the sorting. The sorting of the groups is in the development for the future releases. Hopefully this helps to clear things. Marko

Thanks for your quick answer Marko. But I wonder that how can the search tool point out the exactly object that we look for. E.g. With the project made by many people with many different software, I think BIMsight should have a "filter", so we can find such profile, phase, etc... And maybe the BIMsight now, we can not find the object with only exactly profile?

HI, I'm not totally sure exactly what you are trying to do but I've attached a short video on how to find a particular profile size within a project. First start to type in the profile size in the Group By field. The autocomplete will offer oll attributes matching the text you type (maybe also other things than profiles). Seelct the Profile:xxx value you want. Then the list will be by profiles. Pick the one you were looking for to select and Hide Others will isolate just that profile size.
