Tags to elements

It would be nice to be able to tag all the elements in a view, with some specific element property. For eg: If I am working with a steel structure, it would be handy to have a tool that tags elements with the assembly marks , instead of having to look at each element's properties. It would be good if the user could edit these tags, and apply them in one go?

Hi Winn, What kind of tags are you after? Have you noticed that with the object browser it's possible to group and sort elements based on their attributes. For example, if you want to select an entire assembly, you can group the objects based on their assembly marks and then select the correct assembly on the list. Hi Heikki, On site, i would like to look at the model, and with clicks be able to tag the element, with the required info in the tag, not in the properties bar. for eg: I would like to tag all the beams i see on the model, so that the tag appears on screen with the relevant property.

Hi Winn, Ah, now I got your point. That is a very interesting idea and I guess no one hasn't suggested similar feature before. We'll consider this for the future releases of Tekla BIMsight. Thanks, Heikki
