BIMsight and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011

Following on from the Q&A raised concerning BIMsight and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011. The answer given to export to AutoCAD dwg worked ok. But as advised it only gave the geometry as a solid face in one colour, any other items on the Civil 3D model like roadways, trees etc did not transfer. Combining the Tekla and 3D Civil model looks very impressive on BIMsight and would benefit further if more of the Civil 3D model information could be transferred over. Is this something which could be looked at on future updates?

Hi Brett, Have you tried to enable proxygraphics in AutoCAD Civil 3D before exporting the DWG. Proxygraphics store the last viewed image of AutoCAD Civil 3D objects, so in this way you may be able to get also some other items on your DWG export. Instructions how to do this can be found here http://docs.autodesk.com/CIVIL/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%20Civil%202010%20User%20Documentation/index.html?url=WS27101fef35e777f92c84d9fbf5414c13-7ffe-procedure.htm,topicNumber=d0e205812 Hope this helps. Hi Heikki, Thanks for you response. I have just tried enabling the proxygraphics, but unfortunately this did not make any difference to what we can already view in BIMsight. So my original suggestion still applies at the moment.
