Side and Top View

It would be great to have a tool to take you to an exact top view or side views of the model. Similar to AutoCad's view cube. I think it could be more basic than the Acad view cube though.

I agree with this suggestion - it would be a very useful facility

You can make top or side views by holding down ALT and double clicking on the surface of an object that you want to make into your viewing plane. Make sure you are in the "Orthogonal" view mode.
