Conflict check properties define tolerances and minimum distances for objects, and control the object sets that are associated with the conflict rule.

The Edit Rule dialog box contains the following settings:

OptionDescription

Name

Name of the conflict rule.

Object Sets

Object sets that belong to the conflict rule. A conflict rule may contain several object sets.

The following object sets are available:

  • Visible objects

Hide unwanted objects in the model view and then click Set to include the visible objects in the object set.

The Show button displays the objects that belong to the object set in the model view.

  • Selected objects

Select objects in the model view and then click Set to include the selected objects in the object set.

The Show button displays the objects that belong to the object set in the model view.

  • Model groups

Includes all the models in the selected model group.

  • Models

Includes all objects in the selected model.

Overlap Tolerance

Defines how much objects may overlap. If objects overlap more than what is defined in the conflict rule, a conflict exists between the objects.

You can select the unit of measurement for the overlap tolerance.

This property is optional.

Minimum Distance

Defines a minimum distance to check that objects are located far enough from each other. If the distance between objects is less than what is defined in the conflict rule, a conflict exists between the objects.

The maximum value for a minimum distance is 20 cm (8 inches).

You can select the unit of measurement for the minimum distance.

This property is optional.

Check also rebars

Reinforcing bars are checked against other model objects. Conflict checking works with extruded reinforcing bars that are exported to IFC using Coordination View 2.0.

This property is optional.

Include bar clashing with another bar

Reinforcing bars are checked against other reinforcing bars.

This property is optional and available only when Check also rebars is selected.

Include bar clashing with bolt
